The Microsoft NT Conference 2019, which took place in Portorož from 21 to 23 May 2019, again offered the latest technology trends. ADD was already traditionally present at the NT conference as one of the partners, and at the same time, within the framework of five professional lectures, the listeners were given insight into the latest trends in the field of information technology.
As part of the NTK business event, we participated with two thematic lectures. Marko Škufca presented a recipe for the creation of a data-friendly environment aimed at the gradual construction of a modern analytical platform as part of his lecture on energy. Uroš Hribar, who devoted his lecture to production, presented business and operational analysis with the guest lecturer Miha Šebenik from the Pivovarna Lasko Union on the example of the Pivovarna Laško Union. They stressed that success depends to a large extent on how companies can combine two very different worlds – the world of operations and the world of operational analytics.
Jože Celestina presented to the audience the advantages offered by the HPE SimpliVity solution, which simplifies the agility and cloud economy by controlling and managing local IT equipment. Uroš Jemec and Boris Vezenšek dedicated themselves to the concept of building a modern data warehouse in the cloud. They presented an example of building a data warehouse in Microsoft’s cloud and the ADD Azure Data Factory Framework solution with which the user significantly accelerates the development of the data warehouse and facilitates the execution of routine tasks.
The third and final conference day is Tadej Bajc with visiting lecturer Andrej Feldin from Cetis on the example of Cetis d. d. presented the way to work with the classification of documents in the Microsoft 365 package. He explained that by analyzing and inspecting the flow of documents, we are tracking and preventing data leakage and abuse.
