At the beginning of September, the INFOSEK 2024 conference, the largest event in Slovenia in the field of information security, took place in Nova Gorica. Our team actively participated in the event, where we presented the latest approaches to cybersecurity in a lecture titled “Comprehensive Solutions for Modern Cyber Threats.”
One of the key topics of our presentation was the introduction of CIS Critical Security Controls, a set of cybersecurity best practices developed by the Center for Internet Security (CIS). These controls help companies enhance their cyber resilience by protecting against the most common and dangerous threats. Implementing these measures in a structured way enables businesses to more effectively defend against increasingly sophisticated attacks.
In addition, we showcased key solutions from the Fortinet Security Operations Portfolio, which includes innovative tools for detecting and responding to cyber threats:
- FortiDeceptor is a solution that uses deception techniques to detect attackers within the network. By deploying fake systems and devices, it lures attackers into revealing themselves before reaching the company’s critical systems.
- FortiNDR (Network Detection and Response) leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to identify anomalies and suspicious activities within the network. This advanced security solution allows companies to proactively defend against threats.
- FortiRecon is designed to protect against threats outside the organizational network. This digital risk protection detects and responds to cyber threats before they reach the company’s internal network.
- FortiSIEM is a comprehensive security information and event management solution. By collecting and analyzing data from various sources, it enables businesses to monitor network activity in real-time and quickly detect and respond to threats.
The INFOSEK 2024 conference was not only an opportunity to present technical solutions but also a chance to exchange experiences and insights on the latest trends in cybersecurity. At our booth, we met with many experts and discussed the challenges companies face in establishing cybersecurity. The conference was an excellent opportunity for an in-depth look into the future of protection against cyber threats and to strengthen our position as a leading provider in this field.
